1) Introduction
Welcome to Gbero.io (“Gbero”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2) Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering binding contracts under Nigerian law.
3) Account Registration & Security
Provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
4) Service Description
Gbero provides a technology platform that connects passengers with independent drivers travelling along similar routes. Gbero does not own vehicles or provide transportation services. Drivers operate independently and are responsible for legal compliance (licensing, insurance, vehicle roadworthiness).
5) Pricing, Payments & Wallet
- Payments are processed by trusted third-party processors (e.g., Paystack, Flutterwave).
- Dynamic pricing may apply. We will display estimated fares or pricing rules before you confirm a booking.
- Wallet balances, top-ups, and refunds are subject to applicable financial-service rules and fraud checks.
- All fees and taxes (where applicable) will be disclosed before payment confirmation.
6) User Conduct
- Use the platform lawfully and respectfully; no harassment, discrimination, or unsafe conduct.
- No impersonation, misrepresentation, scraping, or unauthorised data collection.
- Respect others’ personal data obtained through the platform; use it only for the specific trip.
- Report suspicious behaviour via in-app tools or support.
7) Consumer Rights, Cancellations & Refunds (FCCPC)
- Cancellations: Passengers may cancel a scheduled ride up to [X minutes] before pickup without charge. Late cancellations or no-shows may attract a fee.
- Driver cancellations: Repeated unjustified cancellations may lead to driver account review or suspension.
- Refunds: Where a prepayment applies and the ride is cancelled in line with the cancellation window, refunds will be issued to the original payment method or wallet within [X business days].
- Transparency: We disclose key terms, prices, and restrictions plainly and legibly.
- Statutory rights: Nothing in these Terms affects your non-waivable statutory rights under Nigerian law.
8) Complaint Handling & Redress
If you have a complaint, contact support@gbero.io with your booking reference. We aim to acknowledge within [X business days] and resolve within [Y business days]. If you are dissatisfied, you may escalate to the Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) via fccpc.gov.ng.
9) Privacy & Data Protection

10) Intellectual Property
The Services and content (excluding user-generated content) are owned or licensed by Gbero and protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.
11) Service Changes & Updates
We may add, modify, or discontinue features. Where changes materially affect your use, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., in-app notice or email). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12) Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gbero is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Gbero does not control drivers’ actions and is not responsible for incidents caused by driver or passenger conduct. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights under the FCCPA or other applicable laws.
13) Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, safety risks, fraud, or unlawful conduct. You may stop using the Services at any time. Certain clauses survive termination (e.g., IP, liability limits, dispute resolution).
14) Governing Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall be resolved by courts of competent jurisdiction in Lagos State, Nigeria.
